COMMUNITY.. The first word that comes to mind when I think of
Gulfport. IT IS TRULY a wonderful place with an accepting and creative vibe. A rare place where being Kind and being Human is highly valued. A combination of fate and fortunate circumstance landed me on the warm and wonderful shores of Gulfport just a few years ago. I felt like I should never leave as soon as I arrived. I only shared that personal story because it is truly a common story of so many of the friendly people of Gulfport. The wonderful, creative and entertaining heart of the Gulfport Art District is one block away. Just going for a walk around the block gives you a good opportunity to meet new friends.
THE ART DISTRICT is just 4 short bayside blocks filled with wonderful local espresso bars and Bistros, Gift shops and Galleries, Happy Hours and happy people.
Beach Blvd. is recognized as a foodies paradise with more than a dozen excellent restaurants. The culinary choices range from the best local sea food, Italian, Mexican cuisine, Vegan, to creative American fine dining and Sushi. Along with the local shops and entertainment, there is a farmers market every Tuesday morning and Art night events with live music every other week. The Gulfport Library and Senior center is an easy 5 minute walk from the home. Both places are wonderful spots to relax and meet people.
THE BEACH. And the Beach, did I mention the short walk to Gulfport Beach? The Gulfport Beach with its rare free parking frequently hosts Volleyball tournaments, Beach Yoga, Drum Circles and all sorts of opportunities to walk, play or just find your own quiet place to sit and enjoy Boca Ciega Bay.

Gulfport is located right between Downtown St Pete and St Pete Beach. In less than 15 minutes you can drive or Uber to downtown St Pete with its vibrant arts and food culture. The Amazing new St Pete Pier development and the Salvador Dali museum are waiting for you to explore on that rare cloudy day. And rooftop restaurants and bars for those nights when you feel like dressing up. St Pete Beach has been voted one of Americas “Top Ten Beaches.“ The Don Cesar Hotel and Resort, St Pete Beach and Fort DeSoto State Park are less than 20 minutes away for your wonderful February beach days. Downtown Tampa and Sarasota are a short 40 minute drive. It can be hard to choose from all the fun stuff to do and scenic Florida places to explore.
